A minor girl, admitted to Bidhannagar Sub-Divisional Hospital after being rescued by the Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation’s health department, has mysteriously gone missing. The girl, a victim of her stepfather’s abuse, had given birth to a baby girl at the hospital before vanishing.
According to hospital sources, the minor was taken from Ward No. 20 in an ambulance after health officials discovered she was in labor. During inquiries, it was revealed that she had initially wanted to terminate the pregnancy but was later provided medical care.
Officials confirmed that she delivered a healthy baby girl but managed to escape the hospital under unknown circumstances. Security lapses are being questioned, and authorities are trying to locate the missing minor.
